Achlyodes busirus ranges from Mexico to Bolivia and southeastern Brazil, and also inhabits the island of Trinidad. It is a common species found at forest edges, riverbanks, clearings, and other disturbed areas; from sea level to 1,600 m. These skippers fly year round, but are most conspicuous in the rainy season.
